At Studio on Main, we believe exercise should be something you look forward to, that engages you, and leaves you refreshed and alert with a feeling of physical and mental well-being.
Each of our studios is designed to provide an enjoyable and challenging workout for individuals at every fitness level. Whether you are a competitive athlete, busy executive, or just getting started, our certified instructors will help you design a fitness program that meets your needs and budget. We offer Spinning, Mat, Personal Training, Reformer, Stability ball, and the MVe chair.
Studio 1: SPINNING
Nine Schwinn bikes are ready to take you through Italy, Napa, or Death Valley to get your heart pumping. Different levels and class options are available. Instructors will make sure you warm up those muscles and burn this morning’s doughnut off!
Studio 2: PILATES
Pilates challenges your flexibility, balance, stability, and strength. Somewhat more rigorous than Yoga, Pilates has a variety of ways to engage your ‘core.’ The center of our universe is our abs. If you don’t have strong abs, you walk funny, your back hurts,
and swimming suits are just plain embarrassing. This is a busy room with mat pilates, stability ball, straps, blocks, weight bars and the MVe chair.
Studio 3: YOGA
This room is set up to deep breathing, deep thoughts, deep stretching. and de-stressing. Yoga positions act on the various joints of the body including those that are rarely seen or heard from by increasing flexibility. If your body is not of the flexible persuasion, take heart. Even the body that is rigid will experience remarkable flexibility. Yoga is an excellent way to tone. Muscles that have become neglected are stimulated repeatedly to shed excess flab and flaccidity. We offer Yoga classes for all levels. If you want the stretch and more meditative version, we have that. Likewise if you want to challenge every joint, ligament, tendon, and muscle, we can do that too!
Studio 4: REFORMER
We have four Pilate’s Reformers that are also half Cadillacs and the barrel. Joseph Pilates proclaimed “these contraptions can give your spine a whole new out look on life.” We agree, as do our clients who schedule personal training sessions. They help you isolate and then stretch or work muscles that are otherwise hard to tend to. They are wonderful to work into your routine. Hard to explain, you just have to do it.
